These guidelines aren't legal fine print — they're the standards that make Crossyl a place worth being. Everyone is expected to follow them.
Crossyl works because everyone on it is a real, verified person who wants genuine connection. These guidelines protect that. Violating them harms real people — people who came to Crossyl with genuine intent. We take that seriously. These aren't suggestions; they're the rules of this community.
Violations are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. Consequences range from a warning to a permanent ban reported to law enforcement, depending on severity. There are no second chances for the most serious violations.
Use your real, recent photos. Write an honest bio. Share real intentions. Authentic people get better matches. Misleading anyone about who you are — your appearance, age, gender, or intentions — is a violation.
If you're not interested, a polite decline is always better than silence. Everyone on Crossyl is a real person. Treat them how you'd want to be treated — with basic human dignity and kindness.
No means no, always. If someone declines, ignores your message, or ends a conversation — respect it. Repeated contact after rejection is harassment. It will result in a permanent ban, no exceptions.
Crossyl is not a platform for sexual content of any kind. No explicit photos, sexual messages, or unsolicited advances. Violations result in immediate removal. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) results in immediate report to NCMEC and law enforcement.
Every account is verified with a government ID. Creating a fake identity, using someone else's photos, or misrepresenting who you are is a serious violation. Depending on the circumstances, it may also be a criminal offence.
Do not use Crossyl for financial solicitation, multi-level marketing, escort services, or any commercial transaction. If someone on Crossyl asks you for money or financial information, report them immediately.
Crossyl is for everyone. Content or behaviour that discriminates against any person based on gender, religion, caste, race, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
Do not share, screenshot, or distribute anyone's photos, messages, or personal information without their explicit consent. What happens in a private conversation stays private. Non-consensual sharing of intimate images is a criminal offence in India.
Our Trust & Safety team reviews all reports. Enforcement actions are proportionate to severity:
Appeals for permanent bans may be submitted to safety@crossyl.app within 30 days. We review all appeals but are under no obligation to reinstate accounts.
